The impulse noise tester has a 50Ω output impedance system.
When measuring at the pulse output, measurement is performed using a 50Ω coaxial cable and a 50Ω-input attenuator (00-00017A), so measurement can be made under a fully matched condition, and the original waveform with suppressed pulse signal reflection and ringing can be observed.
On the other hand, at EUT LINE OUTPUT through the CDN, the pulse is superimposed on a CDN circuit that is not a 50Ω system, so 50Ω matching cannot be achieved and overshoot, etc. occurs.
This overshoot is observed due to measurement mismatch; the pulse width is narrow and the energy is small.
