LSS-720B2 does not comply with JEC-0203 and JEC-0204. Custom modifications are also not available.
The following are the points where compliance cannot be achieved according to each standard.
●JEC-0203
"○7.4.4 Standard lightning impulse voltage waveform and peak value tolerances: Peak value ±3%, front time ±30%, tail time ±20%, overshoot 10%"
*The peak value tolerance differs from the specifications of the LSS-700 series.
"○7.5.1 Measurement accuracy for lightning impulse voltage tests must be performed with a measurement system specified in JEC-0204. Measurement should be performed with the test specimen connected to the circuit, and the lightning impulse voltage waveform must be confirmed for each test specimen. (~omitted~) Determining the lightning impulse voltage waveform by calculation from circuit constants is not appropriate."
*Actual measurement must be performed with the EUT connected to satisfy the 1.2/50 waveform, and there is virtually no test equipment that can satisfy this.
●JEC-0204
"6.1.3 Full wave/chopped lightning impulse voltage and switching impulse voltage: The reference measurement system for full wave/tail-chopped lightning impulse voltage and switching impulse voltage must measure impulse voltage with an expanded uncertainty of Um≦1% for peak value and Um≦5% for time parameters within its range of use."
*If it concerns the uncertainty of the measurement system (measuring instrument), it is stated in the calibration certificate, but Noiseken only determines uncertainty for accredited calibration equipment. (Since we cannot identify which equipment is for accredited calibration, Um accumulation is also not possible)
Therefore, due to lack of reliability in the measurement system, a measurement system based on JEC-0204 cannot be established.
